New Jersey Safe Drinking Water Program Update

LSPA Monthly Member Meeting

TOPIC: Waste Management Considerations for MCP Projects

This seminar will provide information on management options, technical requirements, and regulatory interfaces for the management of RCRA wastes, TSCA wastes, and non-petroleum/non-hazardous/solid wastes such as contaminated soils or building debris. While not addressing MassDEP’s ‘similar soils’ policy, this presentation will focus on management of materials including management of contaminated soil under RCRA, COMM-97 and asbestos in soil. Additional topics will include hazardous waste management, PCB abatements, and redevelopment projects involving historic fill. Also included will be case study examples from Brownfield redevelopment sites that involved asbestos in soils in MassDEPs Western Region.
