Emerging Contaminants Seminar - June 21, 2017 at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, NY
To quote the United States Geological Service - “what we find in the environment often depends on what we look for and how hard we look”. Emerging contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), 1,4-dioxane and perchlorate are being widely discussed in the media as well as the environmental community. Many states have been taking the lead in drafting policies and regulations, and as such there are differing requirements in terms of analytical methodology, target compound lists, regulatory standards, detection limits, etc. This presentation will focus on an overview of the potential sources of these contaminants and the analytical method options that are available to address them.
Alpha Analytical has assembled a team of experts for this half-day session which will address and educate current and future practitioners as it relates to the challenges practioners face when confronted with emerging contaminants.
