Program Description
This comprehensive program will focus on practical application approaches for design and implementation of Ecological Evaluations (EE) and Ecological Risk Assessments (ERAs) under the NJDEP Ecological Evaluation Technical Guidance (rev. February 2015), recent NJDEP policy clarifications (issued in late November 2015), and forthcoming guidance. Practioners and Project Managers will learn valuable insights to streamline project plans and meet NJDEP requirements. Analytical strategies will be discussed for achieving low level reporting limits and data quality needed to meet stringent ecological screening criteria. Approaches will be provided which focus on project-specific objectives, professional judgement, and improved regulatory acceptance. Experienced practitioners will share valuable lessons learned and key concepts to proactively reduce project discontinuities, streamline budgets and schedules, and improve project outcomes.
